CES 2009 - Focusing on Bigger,Smaller, and Eco Friendly
Just checked out this video from BBCWorld News. Looks like the CES in Las Vegas is pretty much set to kick off the new year. For the most part the technology will be bigger in some respects (ex: flat screen monitors, and TVs), and smaller in some ways (ex: laptop computers - I am actually looking forward to the smaller laptop. I usually have to blog on the go, and having a simple interface that is still powerful would be VERY helpful). And, of couse, much of this technology is working to be eco-friendly. There might even be a way to get energy over the air (Tesla introduced this idea a rather long time ago, but JP Morgan made sure the media had him seen as a madman “If I can’t put a meter on it, it’s of no use to me.”)
I’m really looking forward to seeing what’s coming up this year. Because of the recession there will be more emphasis on the tech, and less on the fanfare (although that’s what makes it interesting to see when you are there). Should be a good show despite the economic conditions presently.
